The target of the team was to make two or more points with any formation bigger than a 27-way. That would qualify as a quarter of the current South American Formation Record: a 103-way. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><em>Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o em Portugu\u00eas ap\u00f3s o Ingl\u00eas<\/em> <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><em>La traducci\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol despu\u00e9s de que el Ingl\u00e9s y Portugu\u00e9s<\/em><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Brazilian coaches Ricardo Pettena, Pedro Ushizima (PedroSan), Rogerio Martinati, and Marco Padilha, and the Argentinian Guillermo Gorg were the Load Organizersof the skydives. Plus, the group had the huge support of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skydiveperris.com\">Skydive Perris<\/a> manager and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.p3skydiving.com\">P3 Skydiving<\/a> coach Dan BC.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Dan BC dispensing words of wisdom\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/c48d8d05-7b56-4d06-af43-d2c4356edd5f.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h2>DAY 1<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Practice day today! Four groups in the 22 to 25 skydivers range made 4 jumps to warm up and get ready for the record attempts. Jumps went well and we are certainly motivated about what&#8217;s going to happen. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/cc472f33-e27d-430e-ade2-2d867c931129.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h2>DAY 2<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>History has been made for South American and Perris skydiving as well today! In 4 jumps, the team broke three FAI records for South American sequential records. The first jump from 12,000 feet yielded a nicely flown 2 point 34 way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/84dbc5b3-b3ab-4883-a8fb-ff220d01b205.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>After that first success, the group grew to a 40 way, that also made 2 points on the first try. By then, the vibes were very high and judge Judy Celaya was put to work  hard. Everyone was pumped about getting more records! It took 2 jumps from 14,000 feet to  get a 2-point 50 way. By then it was time to celebrate \u2013 and the group were not short on reasons to do so!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>DAY 3<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>With 3 records in 4 jumps our group surely was ready to raise the bar today. A 2-point 60-way was scheduled, jumping from 3 airplanes at 16,000 feet. The first jump saw one jumper out and the rest of the formation flying for a REALLY long time. The second jump had some minor problems as well that prevented new reasons for celebrations at the bar later on the day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/b58749da-3173-48ec-8238-39dbff06770b.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>But the group wouldnt be disheartened by these jumps and on the third jump set a new record, a 2-point 60-way, that broke an unofficial record, a 53 way 2 point made in Asunci\u00f3n, Paraguay, in May 2011.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Sweet success!!<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Four records in two days, but the group was hungry for more achievements. A second group, jumping parallel to the big way set a 27-way 3-point record!  Time to celebrate (again), but first, there was a call to dirt dive an 83-way for tomorrow, combining the groups.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>DAY 4<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We\u00b4ve spent the day trying to get a new sequential record, making a total of 4 jumps from 18,500 feet. The first two were 83 ways and then they started downsizing the formation. We found the typical hurdles of big ways formations, some people going low, some others taking too long to get to the formation. However, most of the formation is building consistently and with plenty of time to transition to sequence it. Tomorrow we&#8217;ll have one more day to get it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/b0a9680f-f9bc-48e7-a3e4-cc3f9966ac32.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h2>DAY 5:<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We have a very competent 74-way and we felt very confident that the last day can yield more success to our efforts. The first jump went really well, the first formation was completed and transitioned to the second point, only thing is one jumper went low on the transition, and couldn&#8217;t get back. Sooooo close, but not yet. So, off to the next attempt, but with the sensation that the record is there for us to take it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/a5f24d2f-8a4b-4da6-ae48-e4982591fba7.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>Second jump goes really well, everyone is there, or it seems like it. Key comes, transition executed everything looks like is in place, we feel that &#8216;electricity&#8217; around the formation. We land, everyone is celebrating. Did we got it?? We wait until the confirmation comes from  judge Judy Celaya. A beautiful 2-point 74-way. A new record and a wonderful way to end a great great event. Esse seria um quarto do atual Recorde Sulamericano de Forma\u00e7\u00e3o (com um ponto): um 103-way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/0dae9703-8885-4dba-aac2-a655ed02c2e4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>No primeiro dia do evento, o time de paraquedistas come\u00e7ou saltando separado em pequenos grupos de 20-way com os coaches brasileiros Ricardo Petten\u00e1, Pedro Ushizima (Pedrosan), Rog\u00e9rio Martinati, e Marco Padilha, e o coach argentino Guillermo Gorg. O grupo teve todo o suporte do gerente de Perris Skydiving e coach do P3 Dan BC, que deu toda a assist\u00eancia no ch\u00e3o e ajudou com os briefings de seguran\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>As tentativas come\u00e7aram no segundo dia, e eles logo quebraram tr\u00eas recordes seguidos. No primeiro salto do dia conquistaram um 34-way com 2 pontos, seguido de um 40-way e 50-way, ambas forma\u00e7\u00f5es com dois pontos.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>No dia seguinte a forma\u00e7\u00e3o aumentou para um 60-way com 2 pontos, e ao mesmo tempo outro grupo tentou pela primeira vez um salto com 3 pontos. Os dois grupos tiveram sucesso ap\u00f3s 3 saltos cada. S\u00f3 a partir da\u00ed o grupo inteiro come\u00e7ou a saltar junto, de quatro aeronaves e com o suporte de oxig\u00eanio para saltos de grande altitude, 18500 p\u00e9s. En el primer salto del d\u00eda conquistaron un 34-way con 2 puntos, seguido de un 40-way y 50-way, ambas formaciones con dos puntos.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Al d\u00eda siguiente la formaci\u00f3n aument\u00f3 para un 60-way con 2 puntos, y al mismo tiempo otro grupo intent\u00f3 por la primera vez un salto con 3 puntos. Los dos grupos tuvieron \u00e9xito despu\u00e9s de 3 saltos cada uno. Solo a partir de all\u00ed el grupo entero comenz\u00f3 a saltar junto, de cuatro aeronaves y con el soporte de ox\u00edgeno para saltos de grande altitud, 18.500 pies.
