I joined the team at the last competition, Charlewars. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>##\u00a0Wow! How did that happen?<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>One of their team members was injured during a front layout in training for the competition. So I stepped in and did a very little training and straight into the competition. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>So a baptism of fire!  How did you know how to fly in a 4WD team?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: I had to learn really really fast!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>How much preparation have you done for the meet?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: In Windoor, 2 hours. But we train at home in Finland, at the Sirius Sport Resort. It\u2019s a big complex with lots of cool sports, like a flow-rider for indoor suring, and a race track.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>What are your goals for the meet?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: Just to have fun!  <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Pekka: We are also training our headspace for competition \u2013 to get used to competing. A little bit of competition pressure is good. We want to fly like we do in training. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Markku: We want to fly clean rounds<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>How is this competition different from others?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: The dive pool is little bit different from other competitions as it&#8217;s huge. You can pull out over 500 combinations from the dive pool. So it\u2019s a lot more challenging. It\u2019s impossible for us to train all those combinations, so we have to try and find some logic over all the transitions that we can take into the meet. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>How is the bigger dive pool going to affect your flying?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: It\u2019s good that you can\u2019t train it all but it means there is way more brainwork \u2013 the likelihood that we fly something we\u2019ve done before is really small. We have to look out for each other all the time and really concentrate hard on finding each other and staying precise. We can\u2019t just get in the tunnel and hope for the best! That\u2019s just not going to work!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Markku: We have to slow ourselves down a little rather than flying as fast as we can. A few moves are really difficult so it\u2019s more important to be clean than to be fast.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Pekka: We have to slow down and then our brains can keep up!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/40a2aef5-c3df-499a-b626-e5d8416e3cc8.jpg\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/15b7e01e-b79a-4f45-b354-c03a499d0c72.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h2>So, Kimme and Pekka, you are entering the 2WD also as Finn Factor, why is that?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: It was free!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Pekka: Of course that is nice but it\u2019s also competition training for the 4WD, as the routines are the same.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: It\u2019s also to have fun, they the name Finn Factor is wrong; it should be FUNN Factor!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>How much training did you do for the 2WD?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We planned our free routine yesterday and flew one hour! We didn\u2019t train the 2-way compulsories at all, because they are the same as the 4-way.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Markku and Inka, why are you not entering the 2WD also for training?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: I have an injured shoulder so I\u2019m not flying more competition rounds than I have to.<br \/>\nKimme: \u2013 The fourth person is the rogue slot! <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Is 4WD always so brutal? There seem to be a lot of injuries.<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: Well there is not so much space in the tunnel and the walls are hard <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: So are Kimme\u2019s feet!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Pekka: It\u2019s super hot and we\u2019re all flying very hard, so it\u2019s the most extreme \u2013 it\u2019s exhausting and that\u2019s when you make mistakes, when you\u2019re tired.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>What do you think about being part of the Extreme Games?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Kimme: Well it\u2019s amazing but we don\u2019t get to see any of the other sports, they are in Barcelona!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: It\u2019s really really cool that somebody is combining these sports together. And an amazing thing for our sport that\u2019s it\u2019s being included in the Games. With more and more tunnels appearing all over the world, we have or lots more first time flyers. It\u2019s cool that skydiving is being brought up to bigger audience now. Hopefully it will be super good for the sport and help it to grow.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s next for the team?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: The guys are taking a rest but I will be at World war XP with a different team. It\u2019s a new one, all girls, and we\u2019ll be the shortest 4WD team as I am the tallest person on it! The other flyers are Cathy and Ninie Bouette and Maja from Poland, who is only 15.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>How do you like Windoor tunnel?<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Markku: It\u2019s super. Really good to fly in, the air is good and it\u2019s the latest technology<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Inka: I live in Empuriabrava, it\u2019s my home tunnel, it\u2019s a cool place and always has a good atmosphere. It\u2019s great that it\u2019s so close to the dropzone, you can fly in the morning and jump in the afternoon.
