A neat, properly organized pro-pack is the most symmetrical pack job of all provided the parachute is packed symmetrically. A parachute is designed to be packed symmetrically.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this in mind, let\u2019s go through the points&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/b6523719-62e6-4100-a95f-b78feecbfd57.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1, Harness lined up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure your harness is laid down correctly and secured before you start packing. Yes, you cannot see any weight in the picture, don\u2019t worry, I am not going to teach you how to pack without securing your harness, time for that will come later \u263a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/8094d5ed-0cb9-4844-8d24-b34b73825733.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2, Check the cascades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After you have walked towards the canopy while clearing the lines, make sure you check that your cascade lines are lined up as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/76f38cde-6c5c-44d8-92c9-a63da3d4381d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"883\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3, Line groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organize the line groups symmetrically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/cfcb4ad0-d2ed-4658-91f2-84a438463723.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4, Square slider<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slider squared at four corners, I am sure you all know how to do that correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/83faca57-48dd-492c-b20e-7904e0cf7b03.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5, Tail central<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the centre of the canopy stitching as your guide when wrapping the tail and keep it centred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/32d9ee19-4ebf-41da-9926-7f49f2bb8963.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6, Check the cells<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure that all of the cells are in the right place, not stuck\/missing before you roll the tail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/385937c8-004d-4779-b99c-fa8f787152ff.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7 Edges together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure the canopy stitching meets when wrapping around the tail before rolling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/91e34a8f-9332-4d12-8546-6ccd115f9fe9.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 Lay down (Sally)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have done these two things correctly, the rest of your pack job will be symmetric, until you lay the parachute down. Then the fun part starts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/307408ef-e70d-48a7-9398-6e2fcf00d852.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9, Keep stitches central<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuing with the symmetry, when taking the air out of your canopy keep an eye on the centre stitching, where the D-bag connection is at the top. This should be in the middle and stay in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/174fae3e-2617-46cb-bb50-b954c4b734f9.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10, In the bag<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Putting the canopy into the deployment bag (D-bag) is always a problem when we are still a newbie, however try and keep symmetry as your priority. (Note, in the picture, the centre stitching for the canopy is under the centre mouthlock of the D-bag)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/766ec103-d2b5-498d-98e1-89656bb2262e.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11, Line stowing!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Again make sure the line stows are symmetrical on each side and are not mixed with slack lines and very tight lines with small and big bites of lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/55112ff0-0137-4c6f-b67d-c3ae3c6c208d.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12, Identical bungees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the same kind of rubber bands. Do not mix big rubber bands with small ones or with tube stows or rubber bands, which have no elasticity left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It should be like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/69a3be85-e049-4e33-9f3b-e902ddcb26dd.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13, Leave some slack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leave enough excess lines at the bottom so that when you are putting the D-bag into the container the risers are not tight and pulling otherwise expect an adverse affect on the opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/7be41b60-0be0-428f-942d-904b21c414de.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here, the last stow will be too much<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/dfcf02c9-0177-48ee-b810-61f60c1b6ce2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">14, Stowing the slack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The excess lines should be S-folded at the bottom of the container. There are different ways to do this. I use the centre of the D-bag as a reference and S the excess line forward and backward and finish it in the middle. Others round or S the excess lines on the bottom of container.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/cb9ef4c5-2791-4427-945d-a4e773a5f0be.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15, Closure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closing sequence and length of closing loops are different for each container; please make sure the closing loops are not too long, no-one wants a premature opening!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\"
