With a couple of hours of light left, the wind has been steadily increasing for a few hours and there is some nasty black cloud luring at the far end of jump-run, threatening to close our play early. The forecast for tomorrow and Monday is windy and not very promising. We have just gone onto a wind hold as I write, this could even be it for the day. Ah, and now the management are rejigging the last few lifts to favour AAA and AA teams so the A and Rookie (who generally are on larger canopies) are stood down for the day, their beer light is on.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The judges are keeping well with the scores, starting to judge round 6 as round 7 is in the air. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Round 5 in AAA saw 4Mula with a good dive while Vision made mistakes, making 4Mula three points ahead on the score, easing back into second place with a good margin (3 points), though they had been level going into the round. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

in AA, Kintama are leading with a good margin as everyone but Stubert expected, followed by Nobody Expects the Wurst seven points behind, with 52 to Kintama\u2019s 59. Chicken Mafia, an all-female Hinton team are a surprise third with 50 just ahead of Fr4gment (48) and Pointless (46).<\/p>\n

In single A the top 3 look clear, with Future Cynics and Tyrano4us Rex tied at the top, Blackhawk in third, all ahead of the pack. Rookie has Blue Steel well on top with 59, then AAC Eagles on 49, with the bronze medal being contested by Fantastic 4 (45) and Satori Midnight (44). <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Safety has been excellent throughout the meet, with a few cutaways but nothing alarming, impressive with so many jumps going on.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Long time jumper Chris Shaw, who is coaching two teams, Pointless and Fr4gment (sitting in 4th and 5th in AA), was paying accolade to Skydive Hibaldstow<\/a> for giving teams the opportunity to take part in this fantastic competition. Last year a guy came up from Dunkeswell to enter Nationals on a scratch team, he went home saying \u2018we need to do 4-way\u2019 and now is here with his own team. There is such a buzz about Nationals you can\u2019t be here without wanting to take part.<\/p>\n
