Once again our jaws drop and our eyes widen at the aerial exploits of Dubai \u2013 Another world first. The world\u2019s smallest \u2018aircraft\u2019 the JetMan, invented and pioneered by Yves Rossy, flew with the world\u2019s largest passenger aircraft, the Emirates Airbus A380. This amazing video shows a carefully choreographed aerial showcase, conducted over the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai skyline, by Emirates pilots and the Jetman Dubai pilots Yves Rossy and Vince Reffet:<\/p>\n

Another world first for Dubai, when the world\u2019s smallest \u2018aircraft\u2019 the JetMan, invented and pioneered by Yves Rossy, flew with the world\u2019s largest passenger aircraft, the Emirates Airbus A380. <\/a><\/p>\n

At any time there were four aircraft in the air, all the pilots including Jetmen Dubai’s Yves Rossy and Vincent Reffet, were in radio communication. \u201cWe had to choreograph every movement\u201d<\/em> said Gareth Lloyd Evans, Manager of Flight Operations, Emirates airlines.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The jetmen knew they would be tiny compared to the world\u2019s largest passenger aircraft, the Emirates Airbus A380. \u2019We will be mosquitos flying with an eagle – or a condor\u201d<\/em> said Yves Rossy. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Over the last three months, Emirates and the Jetman Dubai teams worked closely to diligently plan and coordinate every detail of this project. The video below shows what went into making the Emirates A380 and the Jetman Dubai team formation happen. Every minute detail and every possible risk was painstakingly isolated and addressed to ensure the project’s safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you first heard about it, it was madness but then as we worked through the process and identified the risks, it became more of a challenge, and an opportunity to show our skills.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
