WVWR organizers Amy Chmelecki and Sara Curtis held the first of a series of training camps March 13-14 at Skydive Arizona. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Twenty ladies from the U.S. and as far away as Canada, France and Australia came to Eloy for the two-day camp.Over the course of the weekend, the group worked to build 22-way formations. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/99250c6f-6796-43e4-8b23-a493c12b8e89.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Camp participants had the opportunity to work on diving and floating exits, flying to their slots, maintaining proper head levels, docking and breaking off safely. On some of the jumps, the organizers told several of the participants that they were not allowed to dock. This technique proved very successful in helping those ladies focus on flying their slots without the pressure and distraction of trying to take grips.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The group completed 10 jumps over the warm, sunny weekend. From jump one to jump 10, the women showed tremendous progress. Some who were struggling to fly in their quadrants at the start of the camp were successfully flying their slots and taking grips by the end of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/3ae89c3f-0ba2-4712-b102-62ff541fe229.jpg\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/547acec0-1011-4a74-84b5-f1c39048a428.jpg\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/dfea2fc9-6927-4c1f-b74e-f5d3972b541e.jpg\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.skydivemag.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/\/5b609bb0-e00e-4598-874b-51141876aa05.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>WVWR organizers are planning several more camps in the U.S. and Europe throughout the year leading up to the November record attempts.
