Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Situation 1 \u2013 On Deployment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible Causes Include<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Poor exit separation<\/li><li>Poor tracking \u2013 leads to poor separation within a group<\/li><li>Poor knowledge or loss of awareness of line of flight<\/li><li>Loss of canopy control due to nuisance factors or malfunctions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avoid by Good Planning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Exit Separation \u2013 know the upper winds to assess the correct exit separation<\/li><li>Jumper information \u2013 be proactive! Know the number of jumpers on the aircraft, the group sizes, and what the groups are planning to do.<\/li><li>Clear airspace \u2013 create good separation with effective tracking<\/li><li>Correct packing \u2013 to avoid malfunctions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avoiding Actions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rear risers \u2013 steer away from danger during and immediately after deployment using your rear risers<\/li><li>Head to head \u2013 if a head-on collision is likely, turn right<\/li><li>Side by side \u2013 if another canopy is approaching from the side, turn away<\/li><li>Communicate \u2013 shout and open\/close your legs to get the other jumper\u2019s attention<\/li><li>Avoid body contact \u2013 it is better to have contact with material than lines. Distort the canopy below by stepping on the top-skin, causing it to lose altitude. Extend your legs! You must stop the canopy approaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bottom Jumper<\/strong> Exit below with outside front riser or double front riser input. <strong>NEVER APPLY
