Unless you’ve been living as an internet hermit you must have seen PD’s cryptic ‘First to Know’ teaser campaign about their forthcoming canopy launch. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Well the cat is finally out of the bag\u2026 drum roll commence\u2026 It’s a Sabre-3, the third evolution of their very popular mid-range, all-round Sabre canopy. Here is how PD introduce their new canopy… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean Slate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Sabre3 shares a heritage with the Sabre and Sabre2, but PD says their designers “began with a clean slate with the goal of creating the world\u2019s next most popular canopy”<\/em>. Apparently, listening to customer feedback, they enhanced the best qualities of the Sabre2 and minimised any less desirable aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do the test jumpers think?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Sabre3 has been extensively jumped by PD Test Jumpers and PD Athletes, who have described as “dynamic, powerful, and perfectly suited for today\u2019s modern canopy pilot”… “delivering superb openings, crisp response, and amazing landings.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sabre3 definitely has the range to be a great straight-in, no-wind, standard landing type canopy for a lower experience jumper. Or you can really push it and get some amazing flight performance out of it. It\u2019s pretty much for the world. What we want as skydivers is a reliable canopy that is predictable on opening all the way through landing.
