There\u2019s something special about knowing that on a single day, across continents and time zones, thousands of skydivers will gear up, climb to altitude, and enjoy our sport in unison. World Skydiving Day has quickly become more than just a date on the calendar; it\u2019s a global celebration of who we are as a community. In 2026, it\u2019s shaping up to be the biggest one yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Record Attempt to Global Tradition<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, World Skydiving Day began as a simple but powerful idea: unite skydivers around the globe on a single day to celebrate the sport and share it with a wider audience. What started as a coordinated effort among the governing skydiving associations of the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K. quickly gained momentum with more countries and organizations joining in. For the inaugural year, the goal was to set a record for the most skydives completed around the world on a single day and the global community was able to complete an astounding 30,351 skydives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following year, 39 countries submitted their jumps for World Skydiving Day with a total of 26,718 jumps. While the second year might not have set a record, the day was a truly international celebration that connected thousands of skydivers across continents and showcased the spirit of the skydiving community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Wave of Jumps Around the World<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This year, on July 11, skydivers worldwide will once again celebrate World Skydiving Day. Imagine sunset loads wrapping up in Europe while early morning jumpers are just getting started in the U.S. and night jumps are lighting up the skies over Asia. A continuous wave of skydiving energy circling the globe. And the best part? You can be part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you\u2019re turning points on a 4-way, flying head-down with your crew, wingsuiting across the sky or bringing a new jumper to experience a tandem, you\u2019re contributing to a shared experience happening everywhere all at once. However you choose to participate, your jumps put your drop zone on the map as part of the celebration. Once again, we will be trying to set a record for the most jumps done worldwide on World Skydiving Day. Every jump counts, every load matters and every jumper adds to the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make Your Drop Zone Count<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This year, don\u2019t let July 11 be just another Saturday of jumping. Mark the date. Talk to your friends. Make a plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
