60-way Club Record 2012

Schaffen, a Belgian drop zone in Flanders, will attempt a new club record big-way during the weekend of 14 September, 2013. Luc Vereeken is organising the attempts, he has been hugely successful in previous years.

In September 2012, the club built a 60-way over Schaffen. The formation had a wrong grip (by a guest British jumper!) but was still complete, flying for five seconds, and the largest formation ever over this club. Previous records, also organised by Luc, were a 52-way in 2010, and a 50-way in 2008.

The club is known as Para Centrum Vlaanderen or PCV (Flanders Parachute Centre), and includes the dropzones of Moorsele, Zwartberg and Schaffen, plus they will include a few friends of the club, from the Netherlands, the UK and Estonia. The attempt will be from a Skyvan and PCV’s three Grand Caravans.
