A 14-way head-down formation, all ladies, became the first ever official French Female Freefly Record! The jump was made over Avignon during the morning of 23 August 2013, organised by the capable hands of Cathy Bouette and Domitile Kiger.
A 4-day event had been planned to establish a record; this was the third day. The moment the record was official Cathy commented, “on ne vas pas en rester là!” (we will not stop here!)
The same afternoon, these determined women broke their own record with a 16-way, validated official at 8pm the same day. This makes a first French national record and also the best female head-down record for a European nation. The french Federation commented, ‘France can be proud of its paratroopers!’
Congratulations to the record-breakers, who included Hélène Tourasse, Belli Karen, Emeline Martineau, Virginie Bouette, Cathy Bouette, Aurelia Neveux, Thalie Baude, Christine Simon Bohn, Domitille Kiger, Jef Verticalwind, Lucie Bua, Emmanuelle Droneau, Sophie Nefussy and Alex Aubery.
