Alastair Macartney base jumped from the 500 feet high Tonsai wall in Thailand, wearing a Santa Claus hat to raise awareness for Service families that can’t be together at Christmas.
This Base jump was performed by Jump4Heroes at sunset near Krabi, Thailand from a peninsular jutting into the Andaman Sea.
Alastair Macartney deployed his Poppy Legion parachute before piloting down to a precision landing on the beach where he was met by his wife holding an ice-cold Singha Beer. They then toasted the families that are separated during this Christmas period.
Let’s take this time to appreciate that, if we are with family and friends over Christmas, we’re the lucky ones. Raise a glass, toast your buddies, and spare a thought for those who can’t be with their loved ones this festive season, let’s pray they come home safely.
