Congratulations, you signed up for AFF!…
Now what?
Preparing as well as you can will help you progress faster, feel less nervous, learn more throughly, and generally get the most out of your investment.
Get Fitter
Hopefully you’re already reasonably fit but it will still benefit you to stretch and work on your fitness beforehand. Falling in a stable position in free fall will be an unaccustomed force on your body and probably cause parts to ache. The more supple you are the better.
Watch and learn
If you can spare the time, go to the dropzone you’ve booked at in advance and spend a day watching. You’ll pick up a lot by watching canopies fly and land, seeing aircraft do the same, and it will all help acclimatise you to the environment.
Watch AFF
Watching AFF at the dropzone, or viewing AFF videos is a great way to prepare. Below is our selection of the best short and long videos, to give you the flavour of the AFF course in brief or at your leisure.

For more information about the AFF course jumps, look at the link for a sample AFF course, showing each skydive, at AFF Videos. This will give you more of a general idea what to expect – bear in mind courses vary in different countries, and are also adapted to suit the individual, so every AFF course will be slightly different.
