Every day ended with the coaches jumping together

Once again, late March saw the renowned annual skills camp and freefly boogie Flajflaj descend on California. Hosted by Swedish freefly champion Peter Nilsson, the camp drew 172 participants from 29 countries, including some 40 extraordinary coaches, to Skydive Elsinore for two weeks.

FlajFlaj

Paying close attention to participants’ goals and continuously changing coaches between the groups is one of the ingredients in Flajflaj’s hugely successful recipe. Another thing vastly cherished by boogie-goers is the efficient organisation Nilsson runs, making sure everyone can just show up and skydive, as well as the many other activities that are offered.

FunFun

Several barbecues were thrown at the dropzone, as were pool parties at the Casino Hotel, where most were accommodated. Many skydivers also took the chance to join morning yoga, helicopter jumps, joint dinners and of course the world’s largest all-skydivers poker tournament!

JumpJump!

Most importantly, in a safe and encouraging environment immense amounts of skills were conveyed from the coaches during the 7,232 jumps that were made. They ranged from one-on-ones with skydivers holding brand new A-licenses to big-way flowquentials backlit by gorgeous lemony sunsets.
