What a fantastic month August has been with another long list of achievements from all of our club members and lots of fun. Just when you think it can’t get any better – it does! Well done to all and please keep those photos rolling in.
Probably the most notable activity this month was the five FF1 stickers given out in one day by John Crampton which just pipped Lucy Maycock’s four FS1 record that had been held for a number of years. Congratulations John and I’m sure there are no hard feelings from Lucy but watch your back just in case!!
Big way tracking dives continue to be the most popular event at the moment but an increasing number of wing suits are continuing to be seen around the DZ. August cloud formations helped by providing some great visuals to fly around and alongside and Fordy’s comms system on flights has provided a good deal of conversation in the bar of an evening.
The sudden and sad death of Shaun Walters who died of natural causes aged only 47 was a shock to everyone on the DZ and also to his large circle of family and friends. Loved by many and missed by all. Rest in Peace Shaun.
