Here is video number 2 in my series. It’s funny how I made a point last time on not simply jumping out of your car and running to the plane having done no physical preparation – but last week I did that exact thing!!
On my way to the plane 2 people actually asked me if my AAD was on which was nice but no-one asked me if I did my leg swings 😉
You don't know if you will have a hard opening
##Preparation
My goal with these videos is not to change the world of skydiving and BASE and turn everyone into fitness fanatics, but I would like to at least build some awareness around physical preparation for the sports. Maybe you only do the things I recommend every other day you jump, or maybe you do them at home before you leave your house. In this case the more often you do it the better but sometimes is always better than never.

##Expect the Unexpected
Regardless, I’d like people to be a little more prepared for the unknowable.
###You don’t know…
- If you are going to have a hard opening
- if you are going to have to run out your landing
- if you are going to land out and may need to PLF
Being more prepared for all of these situations will make them much more manageable. If you do your homework and put some time into physical preparation, you will enjoy a longer jumping career.
