One of the key threads running through my songs is living your life doing your own thing, thinking positively about what you do, and not caring so much about what others have to say about your choices. Also, not being afraid of the choices you made.
Another topic that keeps inspiring me all the time is the theme of flight, open wide skies, being off ground, etc. In one way or another, that theme more often than not finds its way into my songs. And I choose to regard it as a metaphor for a boundary-free life, a life with no limits.

So, combining the two themes, my new song ‘Parachutes’ more or less wrote itself. It started out as a little acoustic guitar fingerpicking tune which I used to play on dropzones around the camp fire. Eventually it just evolved into this, well, big guitars, big drums, big everything, monster! I’m not exactly sure how that happened … Hmmm, interesting …

I took a year off from my life as a full-time musician in 2014. So I had a lot more time going skydiving this year. And as I was travelling around jumping with lots of different people from all over the world, the pile of footage just got bigger and bigger. Some of it found its way into this li’l video, and I hope it makes you smile as much, as it makes me remember the great times.
