Base aerial by Sean Chuma

Lessons on base jumping safety, wingsuit flying techniques are followed by tumbling practice via trampolining and high diving. If the weather is kind, the course can be directly followed with balloon jumps and 2 days of wingsuit skydiving after at Paracentrum Teuge! Join in on the fun!

Sean Chuma and Jarno Cordia are organizing a seminar and training camp in Holland (near Amsterdam) on base jumping aerials and wingsuit flying technique. The aim of the course is general/background information for those interested in and/or working towards Base jumping, wingsuit flying, or a combination of the two.

Body awareness

There will be a strong focus on aerials, with the goal of increasing general body awareness. The aim is not to push people to do aerials in Base, but to get better at controlling the orientation of your body during the first few seconds of freefall of a fixed object. This is applicable for to both normal and advanced exit techniques, and especially recovery.

Course content

Over the course of 2 days Sean’s seminars on theory will be mixed with practical training sessions at various locations. The subjects covered will be:

  • BASE jumping safety / decision making
  • basic aerials
  • pc pitch timing
  • body awareness
  • getting out of trouble/ disorientation
  • wingsuit flying basics & advanced flying techniques
  • wingsuit flying exit technique & instability recovery

The whole 2.5 day event will be ideal for those wanting to get into basejumping and/or wingsuit flying but will also be of great value to those just wanting to increase their knowledge and body awareness. The course is of course also open to non-skydivers/basejumpers who want to have a fun two days, and learn.

Jarno Cordia, Alexander Strobel & Michi demonstrate good technique
