Satori, the British National team for the last 5 years, is once again forming teams that they will take under their wing all the way to Nationals. Satori evaluate people in tryouts, and then group people up into compatible teams, based on ability, attitude, goals and personalities.
Satori Academy
Satori teams that will be training alongside each other in preparation for the British Nationals 2014. The coaching will be given by the British National Champions, Julia Foxwell, Steve Hamilton and John McIver. Once the teams have been selected we will then discuss a training programme, but we are aiming to do a 7-day camp in Skydive Spain, 4 days at Hibaldstow and 4 hours tunnel time from April – August. If teams want to do more, then even better!
Goals
We want everyone to feel they are progressing, learning the most up to date techniques, meeting new people and enjoying the experience of being in a team, having fun and feeling challenged.
Costs
As we are aiming to build a number of teams and will be training together, this will help us to achieve better pricing for the training camps. Please budget for 60 – 80 jumps, 4 hours tunnel time plus coaching. Further information is available after registration.
Try-outs
The dates for the try-outs are:-
19 October 2013 – Airkix, Basingstoke
2 November 2013 – Mankix (Airkix, Manchester)
5 December 2013 – Bodyflight Bedford
8 January 2014 – Bodyflight Bedford
For rookies, the cost of the tunnel will be £110 for 3 on 1 for 20 minutes, or £160 for 2 on 2. For all others (A, AA & AAA), the tunnel cost will be £80 per person for 20 minutes. If you are coming to the Maxkix try out it is better if you can fly for 30 minutes. If you would like to fly more than 20 minutes that is fine, let us know how much time, the price will be pro rata. Please let us know which date you would like to fly. Please bear in mind that we have limited tunnel time so please register as soon as you can.
