Pete Allum goes down under to organise at the West Coast Sundowner, a 9-day skydiving extravaganza in Perth, Australia. He takes a few minutes to interview fellow organiser and general superstar Michael Vaughan.
Michael is probably best known for his aggressive canopy piloting techniques. He competed internationally on the circuit for many years, and was a master at the speed technique of lying horizontally in the harness to maximise glide. He is now spending his time building canopy formations, coaching canopy skills and organising around the world.
Michael has recently been making safety videos for the APF (Australian Parachute Federation) about malfunctions. He speaks here about this and other APF projects to develop the sport.
