This last week end, the 6th and 7th of March, Aerokart organized its 14th wind tunnel competition…the AK BOOT COMP challenge: a 4 way FS and 2 way Dynamic event. There were present ten 4 way AAA teams, six 4 way AA teams, 2 VFS teams and six 2 way Dynamic teams.
The AK Challenge is a two-day annual event with ten rounds per competition, with 10,000 € of prize money. In addition to the tunnel comp, Aerokart proposed to the contestants some funny activities of the facility like a karting challenge, and extra excitements such as rope climbing, static bike and rower for a little extra team and individual competition. The wind tunnel challenge also included catering. As usual the organization was amazing.
##AAA
Regarding the 4way AAA competition, after 3 rounds the ranking was done, Weembi Demi 8 (half team of the French 8 way) was already far away, the Aerokart DeepBlue Mothers (still there and efficient) had enough points ahead of the third, the Caelestis who missed totally the first round, but showed later their real flight quality. Let’s notice the good performance of the AK Demie 1, a junior team with kids of 14 years old, who reached a 15.9 average.
##AA
In AA, the first place has been kept by the AK Demie 2 from the first round, a junior team with children of 12 years old, second place was for the Arbeit 4 ASPU Maubeuge and after a small fight with the AK Demie 3 (another junior team) the Flyintube took the third place.
##VFS
In VFS, there were no surprise the Funny Flying Poney beat the Intellectuels, a last minute team with no training.
##D2W
Of course, The team Aerokart Paris was the favorite of the 2 way dynamic and they flight over the competition. But then 3 teams were able to take the last 2 podium place : Fly Tox 2 finished second and Boom Bitch third, letting the Airspace Power fourth, a belgium team from Chaleroi.
Thanks to our amazing international judges, the Aerokart organization and all the teams present. We are all looking forward to the 2017 edition of the Boot Comp Aerokart challenge, with even more surprises and more competitions!
