Brazil on the World Stage

Visit Us

For Brazilian skydivers, the world record once seemed out of reach. Years of effort, training, and sacrifice changed that, and in 2025, 15 Brazilians proved it on the biggest stage. Among them was Sol Genova Perini, whose presence marked a milestone for both Brazil and women in the sport.

The Early Struggles

For a long time, many of us Brazilians saw the World Record as something almost unreachable. We simply didn’t know how to get there, how to train, how to be part of it. Years ago, social media wasn’t what it is today, and access to information was so much more limited.

Step by step, things started to change. Some Brazilians had the determination to travel to the United States, and little by little, Brazil began to appear on the organizers’ radar. Information started to flow back home, and the vertical flying community that already existed in Brazil began to grow in size and quality. Brazilian training camps and record attempts became more frequent and more accessible.

Inspiration From 2015

The World Record in 2015 , the 164-way, had a huge impact on us. It inspired so many Brazilian flyers to pursue that dream. It’s impossible to list every name here, because we are many, and each one of us has their own unique story and sacrifices along the way. But it was through this collective effort that our presence kept growing.

In 2015, we had our Brazilian friend, Vitor Benassi (Piupiu), in the record. Then in 2018 and 2021, more Brazilians joined. And finally, in 2025, we reached an incredible milestone: a team of 15 Brazilians received invitations to be part of the new World Record attempt in Chicago.

For each of us, reading our names on those desired invitations was simply unforgettable.

A Personal Journey

For me personally, it was a gift from God. I received my invitation after the South American record we did in June this year. That was my one and only chance. Being a mother makes my time very difficult, and I don’t have the possibility to travel constantly to the US or Europe to attend some tryouts. Everything depended on that single opportunity, and it happened. I got my golden ticket.

After multiple plans on how I could make my travel to Chicago possible, my husband, Paulo Perini, gave up his invitation and helped by taking care of our little one so I could go for it. Another big motivation for me was to make them proud. My husband, who since the beginning taught me everything I know, gave me this dream. Achieving it was something I owed to him. I just couldn’t talk about this journey without mentioning the loves of my life.

A Historic First

And what makes this moment even more special is that for the first time ever, Brazil had 15 athletes on the World Record team, and for the first time, a Brazilian woman became part of both the Head Down World Record and the Head Up World Record in Arizona.

This is about more than numbers. It’s about showing what is possible. For Brazilian skydiving, it proves that our community has grown stronger, more united, and more prepared to fly with the best in the world. And for women, it’s a reminder that we don’t need to choose between being an athlete, a professional, or a mother. We can be all of it.

Every jump we take, in the sky and in life, opens doors for others to follow. And this record is proof that with courage, persistence, and unity, dreams that once felt unreachable can truly become reality.
