Calling CP competitors!

Help make the sport safer by filling out a short questionnaire for the medical profession…

CP Competitor Curt Bartholomew on fine form

We are a team in the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery at Innsbruck University Hospital in Austria and we are enthusiastic about skydiving. Our names are Vasco, Armin and Larissa.

As part of a research project, we are conducting a questionnaire study on the subject of “injuries in canopy piloting”. The aim of our study is to investigate the occurrence of injuries as well as their circumstances and causes. We have created a questionnaire for this purpose, which records any injuries and their circumstances over the past two years.

With the results of this study, we want to create a basis for developing preventive measures to make sport safer in the future. In order to achieve the best results, we therefore need as many participants as possible. The survey only takes 5-10 minutes. We would really appreciate your help to make the sport safer.

The link to the questionnaire is here:

We would be delighted if you could share it with all your active members in canopy piloting. If you have any questions or feedback feel free to contact us by email

Thank you for your kind cooperation 😀 🙏

Unfortunately serious accidents occur especially in the most demanding sport disciplines such as canopy piloting. Therefore we decided to investigate the injuries in detail, because there is currently no scientific medical basis in canopy piloting to make this sport safer and to protect the athletes.
