Escaping to the land of sea and sand…

Freefall freedom at last 🙂

40 participants from over 13 countries dared to accept the challenge and travel during a pandemic, to skydive in one of the driest and most sparsely populated countries on earth. Namibia.

The 1st Euro Invasion in Namibia took place in 2019. So many good memories from it, that many of us were eagerly awaiting the next one.
It was planned for November 2020, but due to Covid-19, the organizer, that awesome German guy Jorg Schmidt, had to postpone it, until better circumstances.

As a genuine German, he finally took the risk and managed to organize everything for March 2021 (13th – 21st).

We rocked this country

The dropzone and LOs

The event was co-organized by Ground Rush adventures at Swakopmund.

A beautiful drop zone in the middle of the desert with one of the most beautiful skydiving planes, a piece of art, a beautiful painted Atlas Angel, ready to take jumpers up to the sky in a few minutes.

Airwax team (Greg Crozier & Karine Joly) as free fly organizers and David Grauwels (Hayabusa 4way team) for the belly groups, were doing their best for a safe and unforgettable boogie.

An amazing time

The landscape is just spectacular.

Jumping over the coastal Namib desert is a unique experience. Landings next to the coast at different beaches, at the sand dunes, at the Mad Max movie locations or in the desert, followed by barbecues under the stars, are few of our new memories, built on the ones that were already there.

Hot air balloon jumps was an extra bonus for all the participants!

The last jump was a sunset one in front of our hotel followed by a farewell dinner. A perfect ending!

An awesome team in a wonderful place! So glad we made it this year despite all the difficulties
