How to wash and dry your parachute without damaging it
Why would you wash your canopy?
If you land in the sea or a pool, the salt or disinfectant can harm the canopy, so it’s important to rinse it well and dry carefully. If you land in fresh water and the canopy is not dirty you can just dry it – paying attention to Beau Riebe’s warnings of what to avoid.
These tips come from PD’s Parachute Maintenance Department. Respect your gear and help it live longer!
