Willis Cooks has been skydiving for five years, a journey that began unexpectedly after losing a bet and taking the leap on a tandem skydive. What started as a chance quickly became a passion. Focusing on angle flying, Willis brings a deep focus on progression, safety, and community. Always pushing himself and others to grow responsibly in the sport. Outside the drop zone, Willis is a therapist who integrates skydiving into his work and sees it as a powerful form of therapy that blends discipline with freedom. He thrives on the “chaotic peace” that only skydiving can offer, making every jump both grounding and liberating. Willis also organizes Fresh Heir Adventures, an organization centered on building community and creating opportunities for African Americans to enter and thrive in the sport of skydiving. Through this work, he continues to expand access, foster connection, and grow the culture of inclusivity in the skydiving world.
